Maximum Enrollment Period
The maximum time allotted for completion of The Real Estate Centre's course is one year from the date of enrollment. Access to the course final exam will expire at midnight on the 365th day after your enrollment.
Extension Policy
If you are unable to complete a course within one year of your enrollment, The Real Estate Centre School can extend your enrollment period for three months for a fee of $25.00 per course. However, after this extension, you must finish the course within three months of the original expiration date.
Course Completion
You will need to study the textbook and pass an online final exam to successfully complete each course. The study time expected for each course is 45 hours. To pass the course you must score 60% or better on the final exam, which means you must correctly answer at least 60 out of 100 multiple-choice questions.
Registration Information
You must provide The Real Estate Centre with accurate and complete registration information and advise us promptly of any changes. In doing so, you guarantee that you are the person who registered for our course and that you intend to take the final exam with your own efforts. Our definition of cheating is allowing someone other than yourself (the student who is registered for this course) to take the final examination for a course. Cheating may result in disciplinary action by the Department of Real Estate.
Final Examination
The online final exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question is based on the textbook material furnished to you when you purchase the course. Final exam files are non-downloadable and non-printable. The final exam is open book and the time allotted to complete it is 2.5 hours. The exam will be graded by The Real Estate Centre when you have completed the exam; or, if not completed within 2.5 hours it will be timed-out and graded “as is.” The results of your final exam will be available online upon completion.
Upon Passing the Final Exam - Certificate of Completion
Upon successfully passing final exam for each course, you can print out a certificate of completion. Print two copies of the certificate, one for your permanent records, and one that you will submit to the Department of Real Estate. The Department of Real Estate will not keep a copy of your certificate. Therefore, we highly recommend that you maintain a permanent copy of all your completion certificates. If you need your certificate to be mailed to you, please contact The Real Estate Centre at 310-410-9718 or email us at 411@realestatecentre.biz. There is a $5.00 service fee for each certificate of completion mailed.
If Student Fails
If you fail the final exam, you may re-take it after waiting 18 days, pursuant to regulations of the Department of Real Estate. This final exam will be different from the test you failed, but will be based upon the same course material.
Refund Policy
You have the right to cancel your registration, for any reason, for up to fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of enrollment. If you choose to cancel, we will issue a refund (less a $25 registration fee and the fee paid for shipping and handling). No refund will be issued after the 14-day time period. If you paid by credit card, The Real Estate Centre will electronically issue a refund to your credit card account within 21 calendar days.
All notifications of cancellation and any request for a refund must be submitted in writing. To be eligible for a refund, all textbooks must be returned to The Real Estate Centre in good and usable condition.* The book must be received by The Real Estate Centre at 531 Main St., #935, El Segundo, CA 90245 within 10 calendar days of cancellation. If the book is not received within this time period, we will deduct $30 for per textbook from your refund.
*Good and usable condition means that the textbook is unmarked and undamaged by shipping. You are responsible for packing and shipping the book in a way that assures it is returned in good and useable condition. If a textbook is returned which is not in good and usable condition, or is received more than 10 calendar days after cancellation, the school will deduct $30.00 from the refund.
The Real Estate Centre will change textbooks periodically, as newer editions of existing textbooks are published. If your course is approaching its expiration date and you wish to apply for a three month extension, you will be required to purchase a new textbook if you do not have the current edition that is in use (new textbooks are $30 each).
Department of Real Estate Course Evaluation
The Course and Instructor Evaluation form is made available to real estate students by Department of Real Estate. Every student can access this form at: www.dre.ca.gov. The purpose of this evaluation is to assist the Department of Real Estate in better serving the educational needs of real estate licensees.
Non-Discrimination Policy
The Real Estate Centre does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, handicap, or familial status in the establishment of fees, enrollment qualifications or standards for successful completion of any course.
Disclosure Statement
Private providers of pre-license statutory real estate courses must obtain course approval from the Department of Real Estate (DRE). As part of the approval process, the DRE reviews course materials only. The DRE does not qualify the school or course provider. In addition, there is no regulatory oversight of private pre-license course providers who offer courses or programs costing $500 or less. For courses or programs over $500, qualification by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education is required, in addition to the DRE course approval. As a result, if a course provider offering a course costing $500 or less fails to deliver the educational course/program as represented, a student’s monetary remedy is to seek redress in Small Claims Court. Students are cautioned to fully understand the education course/program offered by the provider before enrolling or registering. A list of pre-license statutory courses approved by the DRE can be found on the DRE web site at www.gre.ca.gov under DRE Records.
Internet Security Instructions
When the student enrolls in one (or more) of the above described courses through our website the student will enter a user name and password which will uniquely identify the student.
The student must enter the proper user name and password before they can access the final exam. The final exam will not be available to a student for a minimum of 18 days after the purchase of the material, plus 2 days for mailing of the textbook.
Each student will be asked to certify that he/she has read the exam instructions, that he/she is the person who originally registered for our course and that he/she will take the final exam with his/her own efforts. Our definition of cheating is allowing someone other than the student who registered for this course to take the final examination. Cheating may result in disciplinary action by the Department of Real Estate.
The student will not be able to copy, print or download the final exam.
The final exam will be timed. The student will be allotted a maximum of 2.5 hours to complete the exam. The final exam will be timed-out and graded “as is” at the end of the 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
Upon successfully passing the final exam, the student can print-out a certificate of completion.
