The horrors of working with home buyers

When I worked actively in real estate, my preference was to work with sellers. Buyers just seemed to be too much work for me. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal entitled A Picky Home Buyer Pursues an Epic Hunt for ‘the One’ highlighted my worst fears. Real estate broker license requirements

If you’ve been a real estate salesperson licensed in California for at least two years, you are eligible to get your California real estate broker’s license. The basic requirement to get a broker’s license is two years experience as a real estate agent. Additionally, you’ll need to complete a few college level courses (which you can complete at home), and then take (and pass) the California broker’s licensing exam. It’s that easy.

Seriously, if you’ve been a real estate salesperson for at least two years, you can complete the additional coursework in 3-4 months, sit for the broker exam, and have your broker’s license shortly after.
