To qualify to take the real estate salesperson license exam, you must complete three college level courses: Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and one additional course from the list below. Complete the home study courses in as little as two months, and you're ready to take your state licensing exam. Pass the state exam and your way to a successful career in real estate.

Real Estate Principles (required)
Real Estate Principles provides students with an overview of important real estate concepts, terminology, and legal definitions. This introduction to California real estate principles is essential for anyone starting a real estate career. To enroll, click here.

Real Estate Practice (required)
Real Estate Practice helps students understand how to apply the concepts learned in Real Estate Principles to the day-to-day practice of real estate. It includes a review of important laws and forms commonly used in the industry. To enroll, click here.

Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Legal Aspects of Real Estate provides students with detailed information about legal concepts related to real estate, including real property laws, agency relationships, and contracts. To enroll, click here.

Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending

Real Estate Appraisal

Final Exams
Along with each course, you are required to complete a final exam. All final exams are taken online and are open book. Each final has 100 multiple choice questions. You are allowed 2.5 hours to complete the exam; a score of at least 60% is required to pass.

The Department of Real Estate requires specific waiting periods between the time you enroll in a course and when you are eligible to take the final exam. After you receive your textbook, you must wait at least 18 calendar days before taking the final exam. The 18 day waiting period is a minimum; once you go beyond the 18 days, you can take the final exam any time within one year of the enrolling. When you're ready to take your final exam, you can contact The Real Estate Centre and we will send you a password to unlock your final exam.
